Deal for Ascent Behavioral Health Announced

February 19, 2020

Private equity firm Cimarron Healthcare Capital on Wednesday announced that it has completed an acquisition of Ascent Behavioral Health in partnership with the company’s management team, private credit asset management firm Monroe Capital and private investment firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson.

Ascent operates six adolescent behavioral health programs in Utah, offering residential treatment, wilderness therapy and therapeutic boarding school programs for adolescents with mental health issues.

The deal announced on Wednesday will facilitate an expansion of Ascent’s programs and potential acquisitions of other programs that complement its offerings, the company said in a news release.
